Before Riley Green was selling out his own shows, he went to plenty of concerts as a fan. He says there was one show in particular that made a lasting impression on him, in terms of the kind of artist he wanted to be, and the kind of shows he wanted to create for his fans.

“One of the first big concerts I remember being at, thinking about myself as a artist, it was an Eric Church concert in Biloxi. It was Justin Moore and Eric Church, and I was a big Justin Moore fan and Eric Church fan too. And the concert was just really great. It was a combination of the showmanship, but also the singing and then also the songs, you know. And that was a big part of it in the sense of, I never wanted to be one that was just lights and fireworks. I like to be able to take it down a notch and sit on a stool and play a song, and it touch somebody in a different way. So, I took a lot from that concert especially.”

Riley recently released an acoustic version of his song “Hell of a Way to Go,” which you can find on your favorite streaming or download service. You can also hear Riley featured on Thomas Rhett’s latest top 15 song, “Half of Me.”
