The Saunemin American Legion will conduct Memorial Day Services on Monday May 30. Services will be at Sunny Slope Cemetery, beginning at 9:30 am. The cemetery is located on Il. State Rt. 116 on the west edge of Saunemin. In case of in climate weather, services will be conducted at the Saunemin Community Center, located on North street. The Legion auxiliary will be hosting a gathering with refreshments at the Community Center following the service. The service, memorializing deceased veterans, is held annually by the Saunemin Legion post 531.
