Thomas Rhett has his own tequila brand called Dos Primos. It is a business that he is in with his cousin. Dos Primos is Spanish for “two cousins.”

TR’s cousin Jeff owns and operates a global pecan-processing business. The two cousins were on a ski trip together with their families. After a day of skiing, they were at a Mexican restaurant in Telluride, Colorado. They began sampling the tequila available there. They decided they should work together to create a better tequila. That led to a partnership with Luxco and established Dos Primos.

“When I got into this, it started just from the core value of the fact that I wanted to do something with my cousin. And when that turned into tequila, it turned into a passion project for both of us. And then that passion project turned into something that actually turned out to be really good, and something that’s doing really well. And I think both of us are still kinda shocked at that.”

Thomas Rhett’s other passion has racked up 18 number one singles. His latest single “Slow Down Summer” is approaching the Top 20 after just 16 weeks on the Billboard chart. If that becomes his next number one, he can celebrate with a toast using his own brand of tequila.
