Hot rising country music star Cody Johnson is likely feeling the pressure to deliver after his monster #1 song “‘Til You Can’t.”

The singer-songwriter is becoming a household name across the country music nation. That means people are watching to see how he follows that big hit song. Cody shares that he is ready for that pressure.

“I feel pressure in a different way, please don’t take this as arrogant, but I feel like I was meant to play stadiums. That’s where I feel the least amount of pressure, is whenever I’m playing in front of 70,000 people. That’s where I feel the most at home. In order to get that utopia of 90 minutes doing that like your George Strait’s, and now Luke Combs; in order to get there, that comes with pressure.”

For Cody, the expectations of his fans, the CoJo Nation, is a privilege.

“I always try to remind myself that pressure is a privilege. It’s a privilege to have pressure, and to feel that, kind of weight on you, because a lot of jobs and occupations don’t have pressure because there’s not that big of a gain on the other end of it. I, I want to be that new face, and that new sound, and establish songs and stories back in Country Music, and the way it used to sound. If I’m gonna do that, that’s gonna come with pressure.”

The follow-up to Cody’s massive hit “‘Til You Can’t” is a song titled “Human.” Watch Cody introduce the song from the stage and hear it below.
