Last night (5/22) Gina Miles from Paxton, IL performed as one of the Top 5 in the Finals on The Voice Season 23.
Each of the Top 5 performed a ballad and an up-tempo song. Gina started out with her up-tempo song. She chose Taylor Swift’s “Style” to give people a look at her pop side. The songs she’s done so far on the show have been moody and a bit dark. This song is bright and fun.
Foe her ballad, Gina went with Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U.” This is more along the lines of what has gotten her to this stage of the competition.
Gina’s unique tone was able to shine through on both of her performances last night. She truly does have a good chance at a big career in music ahead of her.
Will she win The Voice? It’s hard to say. She definitely has the talent … But, really so does the other four still in the competition. There are other factors on winning this kind of show that cannot be accounted for.
We will have to watch tonight to find out who wins on the Season 23 Finale of The Voice starting at 8 p.m. central time (9 p.m. eastern time) on NBC.
